Patrick Gale Putze once spent some twenty-plus years geographically separated from his hometown of Chicago while serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Photography from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Arts in New Arts Journalism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Patrick has immersed himself in the art world through multiple avenues.
Currently, he freelances as a video producer, graphic design & web developer in Chicago; is working on a documentary film about veteran art and the original Vietnam Veterans Art Group; writes criticism for the EXPO CHGO online blog THE SEEN; produces his own experimental films; refurbishes, restores & re-purposes old Polaroid cameras for use with contemporary film products; and he has manifold storehouses of creative ideas, whether actually written down or locked away in the cerebral hemispheres of his cranium. Ask him nicely and he’ll tell you all about them…some of them anyway.
Patrick lives in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago with his witty, intelligent and beautiful wife Lauren, their 4 new baby girl Harper and their ever faithful K-9 companion, Petey the Wonder Dog.
Also, he like’s hot dogs. A lot.
